After Fame Academy, she went on to star as Maria in a production of the musical West Side Story at Leicester Haymarket Theatre, Money to Burn at London's The Venue, before working with Dipset, who then started work on her debut solo album Rise of the Phoenix. "Don't Hold Back", which features rapper Erick Sermon of the group EPMD, was released as the album's first single on 28 August 2006. She appeared in the ITV1 series Footballers Wives in a guest role as the girlfriend of closet gay footballer Noah Alexander. Camilla then landed the role of Rose in the London West End production of Daddy Cool, a musical based on the music of Boney M. , at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Following Daddy Cool, Camilla appeared as Crystal Gordon in Bad Girls: The Musical from previews in August 2007 to the show's closure in November 2007.
