Cameron Smyth (born August 19, 1971) is a Republican who has represented California's 38th Assembly district since December 2006. He succeeded Keith Richman who was term-limited. On March 18, 2010, Assembly Speaker John Pérez officially announced that Smyth would be assuming the chairmanship of the Assembly Local Government Committee, one of only two Republican committee chairs.
