General Sir Cameron Nicholson GCB KBE DSO MC (30 June 1898 - 7 July 1979) was Adjutant General to the Forces from 1953 to 1956 and ADC General to the Queen from 1954 to 1956. Cameron Gordon Graham Nicholson was commissioned into the Royal Artillery in 1915. He served in the 1st World War and was awarded MC and Bar in 1918. He served with the Royal Horse Artillery in France, India, Iraq, Palestine and Egypt from 1917 to 1927.
