- Call Off the Search ist das erste Album der britisch-georgischen Sängerin Katie Melua. Musikalisch ordnet sich das von Mike Batt produzierte Album zwischen leichtem „Bar-Jazz“ und Blues gemischt mit Folkeinflüssen ein. Auffällig sind besonders die klassischen Elemente, die Batt durch den Einsatz des Irish Film Orchestra erreicht. Mit ihrem Debütalbum erreichte Melua Platz 1 der britischen Charts und wenig später den Durchbruch auf den Musikmärkten im restlichen Europa und den Vereinigten Staaten. Alleine in Großbritannien verkaufte sich das Album mehr als 1,8 Millionen mal. In Deutschland erhielt Melua bei der Echo-Verleihung 2005 als bester Newcomer international einen der wichtigsten Nachwuchspreise.
