Caitlynne Elizabeth (known to her friends as "Caity") Medrek is a Canadian radio, voice, theatre and film actress probably best known for her roles as Mikoto in My-Hime, Miu Matsuoka in Strawberry Marshmallow and Pan in Dragon Ball GT. She kept up dance skills with Ukrainian Dance and competed at various festivals throughout the province in solo, duet and trio competitions. She was a member of the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede and at age 15 she competed in Calgary's well known "Youth Talent Showdown" competition at the Calgary Stampede and won 2nd runner-up. The same year she placed first at the Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival and went on to win first place in Provincials for Musical Theatre in Edmonton. In 2006, she was cast in the Rod Lurie-directed film Resurrecting the Champ in the role of Amber (her scenes were deleted, however). Most of her anime voice work has been for the Calgary-based Blue Water Studios and 420 Inc. In Summer 2007, she was a member of the Charlottetown Festival Young Company Training Program and a cast member of Alberta Fusion. She graduated in April 2008 from the Canadian College of Performing Arts, where she received the Arnold Spohr Scholarship. From college, she immediately contracted with Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Theatre in Canmore, Alberta, Canada where she performed nightly as Rose Marie. In December of 2008, she was seen in Persephone Theatre's 'A Christmas Carol' as "Want" and is now residing in Toronto, Ontario. She just finished performing with Globus Theatre Inc. (Lakeview Arts Barn) in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, playing the lead in Neil Simon's "I Ought To Be in Pictures" and will next be seen in 'Pinkalicious, the Musical' as "Pinkalicious', a musical debut in Toronto of the successful off-Broadway show in New York City.
