The publication is owned by the Business Recorder Group which is one of South Asia's preeminent media conglomerates with interests in Television, Web, Finance and Technology. Business Recorder was established on 17 February, 1965 by veteran journalist M.A. Zuberi who is still the publication's Editor In Chief.
