The Bruce Codex (also called the Codex Brucianus) is a gnostic manuscript acquired by the British Museum. In 1769, Lord James Bruce purchased the codex in Thebes in Upper Egypt. It was transferred to the museum with a number of other Oriental texts in 1842. It currently resides in the Bodleian Library, where it has been since 1848.

Il se trouve depuis 1848 à la Bibliothèque bodléienne. Le codex contient deux parties d'écriture différente. La première, en deux sections, intitulé le le grand traité selon le mystère et se présentant comme des entretiens de Jésus avec ses disciples, a été identifiée par Carl Schmidt comme les deux livres de Jeû (ou Ieou), mentionnés dans un autre texte gnostique la Pistis Sophia. On ne sait de quel courant gnostique ils relèvent. La seconde partie, fragmentaire est désignée comme le traité sans titre du Codex Bruce, et relève de ce qui a été appelé le gnosticisme séthien.
