The channel, which launched on 8 December 2008, was formerly known as Legal TV and RED TV. Brit Hits targeted an audience between 16–45 years old, focusing most of its broadcast on new up-and-coming British acts, as well as old British artists. As of February 2009 Brit Hits was simulcasting Psychic TV, and also contained other non-related music programmes.
