Bridie Carter (born 18 December 1970) is an Australian actress best known for her role as the main character of Tess Silverman McLeod on the television drama show McLeod's Daughters. Carter graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1994. In late 2005, Carter left McLeod's Daughters to focus on her personal life. In early May 2004 Bridie married clothing designer Michael Wilson, with whom she has a son.
