Brent Gilchrist (born April 3, 1967) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward. Gilchrist started his career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1988. He would also play with the Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Nashville Predators. He won the Stanley Cup in 1998 with the Detroit Red Wings. He was best known for an unusually excruciating groin injury that he battled for several years before eventually being forced to retire.
