Brama Młyńska (Mill Gate, also called "Harbor Gate" and "Water Gate") is an old city gate of Stargard Szczeciński, in Poland, which functioned also as a watergate. In medieval times the watch lowered a portcullis into the river for the night, which secured Stargard harbour, situated behind the fortification (an exception in this area), from intruders. Both towers have the so-called Stargard blend motive (the same as in St. Mary's church).

  • Das Mühlentor (auch Hafentor, Wassertor; poln. Brama Młyńska, Portowa und Wodna) in Stargard Szczeciński (Stargard in Pommern) wurde um die Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts aus Backstein errichtet. Es ist mit seiner ungewöhnlichen Architektur eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Eine Seltenheit ist die Anlage des Tors über dem Fluss Ihna (Mała Ina), wodurch im Verteidigungsfall ein Fallgatter ins Flussbett hinabgelassen und der innerhalb der Befestigungen befindliche Stargarder Hafen vor Eindringlingen geschützt werden konnte. Jedoch bot bereits die Strömung, die durch die schmale Mauereinfassung des Flusses an dieser Stelle entstand, ausreichend Schutz. Charakteristisch sind auch die beiden zierlichen Türme mit so genannten Stargarder Blenden (Urform an der Stargarder Marienkirche). Gegenwärtig ist das Tor Sitz des Stargarder Verbandes der Kunstfreunde „Brama”.

Zbudowana została prawdopodobnie w pierwszej połowie XV w. , należy do unikatowych zabytków tego typu w Europie, zarówno przez funkcję jaką pełniła w średniowieczu, ale także ze względu na wyjątkową architekturę. Jej rysunek zamieszczony był na dawnych pieczęciach i w starym herbie miasta, który był w użytku jeszcze w XX w. Nazwa Brama Młyńska pochodzi od młyna, który został wybudowany obok na Kanale Młyńskim w latach 1240-1268. Brama spełniała funkcje kontrolne oraz była uprawniona do pobierania myta za przewóz towarów na rzece. W okresie PRL znajdował się tu punkt informacyjny PTTK, zaś później miało tu swoją siedzibę Stargardzkie Stowarzyszenie Miłośników Sztuk Plastycznych Brama. Obecnie brama portowa jest siedzibą Stargardzkiego Bractwa Rycerskiego "GRYF" które przejęło ją w 2007r. w wyniku przeprowadzonego konkursu.
