  • In 1979 Kyosuke Himuro participou de um concurso em sua cidade natal, Takasaki, Gunma e ficou em 1o. lugar. No mesmo concurso estava Tomoyasu Hotei e sua banda "Blue Film" que ficou em segundo lugar. Depois do concurso, Himuro assina com a gravadora "Being" e se muda para Tóquio. Sua banda "Death Penalty" se separa e ele entra em outra banda chamada "Spinach Power" mas não se dá bem com os outros integrantes e resolve formar outra banda. Na mesma época, Hotei estava em Tóquio. Ele recebe um telefonema de Himuro e mesmo sem conhecê-lo direito, decide montar uma banda com ele. Eles recrutam Tsunematsu Matsui e Atsushi Moroboshi, guitarrista do Death Penalty; Kuniaki Fukazawa tocando saxofone; e Mamoru Kimura do Spinach Power na bateria. depois de muito tentarem, eles finalmente conseguem um contrato com A JVC/Victor.
