- Blue Judy is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band features intense vocals and dual guitars over hard-hitting, danceable arrangements. The members of Blue Judy love great music, and it is this affection that serves as inspiration every time the band gets together to play and create amazing songs. The roots of this musical synergy date back to the fall of the year 2000 when Gustavo Galindo met Luke Benedum while they both attended college in Claremont, California. The details of the first time the duo played together are hazy, but rumor has it that the performance involved an apartment full of college girls, a good amount or peer pressure, and one of two wearing women's clothing. It was from these humble beginnings that the band began to write and perform in earnest. After going through more drummer's than Spinal Tap, the duo found the third member of their final lineup in Brian Zarlenga, a Rhode Island boy who took a wrong turn in Providence and ended up in Los Angeles. When it came time for a new guitarist, Brian called on his friend, Matt Maltese, who he met at college in Boston and later reunited with while working at a record label in Los Angeles.
