Blic is one of the highest circulation dailies in Serbia. It is a tabloid owned by Ringier AG group from Switzerland. In recent years, it has gone through a slight format change to include more in-depth coverage but it's still, as its name aptly suggest, a paper devoted to quick, concise, attention-grabbing news form. Blic has at times had circulations of 250,000, but now it is closer to 220,000. Ringier AG controls Blic through a local entity called Ringier d.o.o. (formerly named Blic Press d.o.o. ) that's registered in Belgrade as a limited liability company. The company's CEO is Jelena Drakulić. Blic has since its founding expanded to publish several newspapers. These are Blic-Europa (discontinued May 31, 2006), Blic Žena, Blic Puls, Euro Blic (the issue for Republika Srpska) and variously themed supplements to Blic newspapers.
  • Blic ist eine Tageszeitung in Serbien. Gegründet wurde die Zeitung 1996 von einer Gruppe österreichischer Geschäftsleute. Die Erstausgabe erschien am 16. September 1996. 2004 wurde die Zeitung an das Schweizer Medienunternehmen Ringier verkauft. Während der politischen Proteste 1996 und 1997 berichtete die Zeitung von diesen, was ihr Ärger mit dem Regime von Slobodan Milošević brachte. Daraufhin verpflichtete sich die Redaktion, sich mit der Berichterstattung zurückzuhalten, wogegen einige Journalisten der Zeitung und auch die politische Opposition protestierten. Das führte zur Gründung einer neuen Zeitung. Diese hieß für die ersten fünf Ausgaben Novi Blic und wurde dann in Glas Javnosti umbenannt. Heute gibt es neben der Tageszeitung noch weitere Formate wie Blic Žena, Blic Puls und Euro Blic. Blic steht der Demokratischen Partei (DS) nahe.
