Blackadder the Third is the third series of the BBC situation comedy Blackadder, written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, which aired from 17 September to 22 October 1987. The series was set during the English Regency, and saw the principal character, Mr. E. The third series reduced the number of principal characters again compared to the previous series, but instead included a number of significant cameo roles by well-known comic actors. The programme won a BAFTA award for Best Comedy Series in 1988 and received three further nominations.

Under serie tre skar de även ned på antalet huvudroller ordentligt så att de hade mindre karaktärer gemfört med tidigare serier. Men de hade dock ett antal olika gästroller av kända komiker både från tidigare Svarte Orm serier men även från andra sammanhang. Programmet vann ett BAFTA award för bästa komediserie 1988 samtidigt som den fick tre andra nomineringar.
