Black Day is a South Korean informal tradition for single people to get together and eat Jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce), sometimes a white sauce is mixed for those who did not celebrate White Day. The idea is that those who did not give or receive gifts on Valentine's Day or White Day can get together and eat Jajangmyeon (짜장면), white Korean noodles with black bean sauce (hence the name), to commiserate their singledom.

- ブラックデー（블랙데이、Black Day）は大韓民国で4月14日に行われる一種の記念日である。バレンタインデーやホワイトデーで贈り物を受け取れずそのまま恋人ができなかった者同士（ソロ部隊、솔로부대）が黒い服を着て集まり、チャジャンミョン（中国の炸醤麺に似た黒いあんをかけた韓国独自の中華風麺料理。「ジャジャン麺」などと書くこともある。中国の山東料理の影響を受けている）やコーヒー（ブラックコーヒーであることが普通）を飲食する日、とされている。 ホワイトデーは日本で始まった習慣であるが、やがて韓国や台湾でもその影響を受けてホワイトデーが祝われるようになった。韓国において、この習慣にさらに付加的に始まったものがブラックデーである。ブラックデーはバレンタインデーの1ヶ月後の3月14日であるホワイトデーの、更に1ヶ月後の4月14日である。 韓国のドラマや小説等で「今年もチャジャンミョンを食べることになりそう…」のようなセリフがあった場合は「今年も恋人ができそうにない」の意と解することができる。また、この日にブラックデーを実行している人は、自ら恋人が現在いないと宣言しているに等しく、そんな人たちがこの日をきっかけに付き合いを始める例も多い。つまり、フリー宣言をした男女同士の合コンの意味もある。 その後韓国ではこのブラックデーにまた付加が行われ、5月以降の各月の14日にも「ローズデー」・「イエローデー」（5月14日）、「キスデー」（6月14日）、「グリーンデー」（8月14日）などの恋愛に関わる記念日がそれぞれ設定されている。食品会社によって作られた記念日も多く、記念日が多すぎて飽和状態になっているともされる。 ちなみに日本では、同じ4月14日がオレンジデーになっているが、これはカップルのための日である。
- 黑色情人節（朝鮮語：블랙데이）是一個單身人士的非正式節日，在西曆的4月14日，慶祝的主要是那些在情人節和白色情人節收不到任何禮物的人。其文化是源於南韓的。在這天，單身人士會聚在一起吃韓式炸醬麵（朝鮮語：자장면），以此表示對單身者的同情。韓式炸醬麵多以黑色甜辣醬為調味料。 而比較有趣的是在每年的4月14日那一天，南韓大學餐廳裏點炸醬麵的都是單身。一堆沒有戀人的人坐在一起吸哩呼嚕的吃炸醬麵。到了這一天，最高興的要算是交友中心了。不單止吃黑色的東西，不少人也會穿著黑色的衣服以示單身。
