Big Slick were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California during the early 1970s. The band became prominent in the Western United States in late 1973, and rose to worldwide recognition in early 1974 with their debut album 'Emerald Green' before all four members who were, lead vocalist Chuck Longshanks, lead guitarist Leroy Boogerhiney, bass player Neil Poochacarto and drummer Shaun McFroth died in a freak boating accident in the Gulf of Mexico on October 25 1974.

The band are probably best remembered for their song 'Don't go down on the brown' which was banned from airplay around the world due to it referencing anal sex. Only Sweden allowed it to enter its charts where it reached number 12 in early 1974.
