The initial launch was so popular that Bidtopia has now allowed other sellers with online experience into the marketplace, and added the requirement that seller accounts and bidder accounts be kept separate as their needs and desires are mutually exclusive. Popcorn bidding allows all bidder's a fair chance to bid before an auction closes. How Does it work? If a bid is entered within the final 60 seconds of the original closing time, the auction will be extended by 60 seconds. If a bid is then placed before the extended 60 seconds elapses, the auction will be extended again for 60 seconds and so on.... Can you give me an example? An auction is scheduled to close at 7:00 PM MST and a member enters a bid at 6:59 PM MST. The auction will be automatically extended by 60 seconds. The auction will now have a close time of 7:01 PM MST. Another member then places a bid at 7:00 PM ET. The auction will now have a close time of 7:02 PM MST. The listing will continue to be extended until there are no new bids placed within the final 60 seconds of the auction. ”
