Bernard Patry is a Canadian politician. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he started out in politics in 1968 when he became a city councillor in L'Île-Bizard, Quebec. He was elected mayor in 1969 and served as mayor until 1987 at that point, he attempted a run at federal politics, running in the Canadian federal election, 1988 for the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard. He lost, but a second attempt in the Canadian federal election, 1993 was successful.

He is currently the chair of Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade as well as the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
