Baz Warne (born 25 March 1964 in Sunderland, England) is the current guitarist and vocalist of The Stranglers. He has played as the guitarist and frontman of numerous bands. His first recordings released were with Sunderland Punk band the Toy Dolls, whom he joined as Bassist in 1983, touring extensively and recording a couple of singles, before forming the Troubleshooters in 1985. The Troubleshooters released a couple of singles before changing their name to the Smalltown Heroes in 1992.

The Smalltown heroes released a number of singles including the world's first interactive CD-rom single, "Moral Judgement", including the band's history, the video for "Moral Judgement", and gig footage; "Moral Judgement" gets 'single-of-the-week' from Kerrang Magazine on its release in 1984 and is followed by their only album, Human Soup, in 1996. During the recording of what was planned as their second album Atomic Cafe in 1998, their record company pulls the plug, announcing they have no more money and the band fold. In the summer of 1998 Baz forms a retro-rock covers band the 'Sun Devils'. In 2000 Baz was invited to audition for The Stranglers, whom he met in 1995 when Smalltown Heroes supported The Stranglers on tour. He was successful and immediately set off to Kosovo and then across Europe with the band. One of his first gigs was captured on the Euro live DVD. He is also well known in the small Nothumberland village of Belford, where he played many solo gigs at the Salmon Inn while setting himself up with The Stranglers. Warne sings lead vocals on many of the tracks contained on The Stranglers' most recent studio album, Suite XVI, and in live gigs sings the vocals that would previously have been sung by Hugh Cornwell.
