Situated within the Texas Medical Center, a 1,000-acre (4.0 km) complex that is home to 46 member institutions and is the largest medical center in the world, Baylor College of Medicine has affiliations with eight teaching hospitals, including the world-renowned Texas Children's Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR), Menninger Clinic and Texas Heart Institute.
