He was on the victorious Leinster Provincial team in 2005 that defeated Ulster in the Martin Donnelly Inter-Provincial final. He was also on the Leinster team in 2006 when they defeated Connaught in the 2006 final which was played in Boston. He plays his club football for St. Brigids. He also captained the Dublin Under 21 team to Leinster glory in 2002. He is also known for being Sales Manager in one of Ireland's largest sportswear companies: Malleysport. com Cahill recently signed up with Reebok to wear their new sprint fit boots. Cahill was awarded his first All-Star in October 2007 at the Vodafone all-stars awards ceremony. He was also honoured with an Opel GPA award for being voted onto the GPA Team of the Year in 2007.
