He is currently a performance consultant at Percona, Inc. and lives in Charlottesville, Virginia. Schwartz is a co-author of High Performance MySQL, 2nd ed. (published 2008, O'Reilly). He developed and maintains Innotop, an open source interactive monitoring tool for MySQL and InnoDB, and the Ma'atkit toolkit for MySQL.
