Babbar Khalsa, also known as Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), is one of several Sikh Jathebandis militant group calling for the formation of an independent Sikh state. The envisioned state, called Khalistan (meaning The Land of Khalsa) by its proponents, would comprise territory in Indian Punjab, and Punjabi-speaking areas in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.
