Babacar was a short-lived British rock band formed by Caroline Crawley, former lead singer of Shelleyan Orphan, and her then-boyfriend Boris Williams, drummer of The Cure (1984-1993). Porl Thompson, another former member of The Cure, also made some contributions to Babacar's self-titled album, and Jemaur Tayle, the other half of Shelleyan Orpan later joined them as well. Babacar only released one album in their brief existence, which was their self-titled album.
