Bab Saadoun is one of the gates of the medina of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. Constructed circa 1350 on the edge of the suburb of Bab Souika, it owes its name to the saint Sidi Bou Saadoun. Controlling the routes to Béja, Bizerte and El Kef, it had only one arch originally and was replaced in 1881 by a gate with three arches, better adapted to the volume of traffic. Construite vers 1350 dans l'enceinte du faubourg de Bab Souika, elle doit son nom à un saint homme : Sidi Bou Saadoun. Commandant les routes de Béja, Bizerte et Le Kef, elle ne comporte qu'une arche à l'origine et est remplacée en 1881 par une porte à trois arches plus adaptée au volume du commerce.
