| - Audio Bullys are an electronic music group from the United Kingdom, consisting of Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale. The duo released their debut album Ego War in 2003 to positive reviews which helped to establish them as one of the best new acts in dance music. The album fused elements of breaks, hip-hop, punk, garage and house with clever beats and samples. In 2005 they released Generation, the follow-up to their debut album. Despite reaching number 3 in the UK Singles Chart with their 2005 hit, "Shot You Down", which samples the Nancy Sinatra version of the song "Bang Bang ", the album was poorly received. Generation was seen as a step away from what made Ego War appealing due to the pace being slower and a number of tracks being downbeat in mood. In a 2008 interview, Simon Franks suggested that they listened to their label, Virgin, too much: "We should never have listened to anyone else". "Virgin admitted they didn't know how to market house music, and it slowly turned into us making this slower album. The daft thing is, Shot You Down was the big hit, this old-school club track, but it was followed by a moody, dark record. It confused everyone." In making Generation, the group worked with Suggs of Madness collaborating on the track "This Road". Their new album, Sunday Night Fever, was supposed to be out September 2008, but has been delayed till 2009. (en)
- Die Audio Bullys sind eine Electro-Gruppe aus dem Vereinigten Königreich. Sie wurde 2001 von Simon Franks und Tom Dinsdale in ihrer Heimat, dem Londoner Stadtbezirk Kingston upon Thames, gegründet. Sie wurden von der Plattenfirma Source UK aufgenommen. Ihre Musik wird manchmal auch als „Hooligan House“ bezeichnet. 2005 erreichten sie Platz 3 der UK Charts mit ihrem Hit Shot You Down, der auf der Grundlage von Nancy Sinatras Song Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) geschrieben wurde. Im Sommer 2008 veröffentlichte das Duo mit der Single "Gimme That Punk" den ersten Vorboten des im Herbst erscheinenden Albums "Sunday Nightfever". - Audio Bullys is een Britse elektronische muziekgroep, bestaande uit zanger/tekstschrijver Simon Franks en DJ Tom Dinsdale. Audio Bullys maakt muziek wat kan beschreven worden als een mix van dance, hiphop, punk en UK Garage. Hun muziek is vooral beïnvloed door artiesten zoals Notorious B.I.G., Method Man, Gang Starr en Jay-Z . Franks en Dinsdale komen beiden uit West-Londen en zijn op jonge leeftijd al beïnvloed door hardcore en house. In 2001 besluiten ze bij elkaar te gaan en Audio Bullys te vormen. Als beginnende DJs treden ze in veel clubs en discotheken op. Het eerste album komt uit in 2003: Ego War. Hiermee komen ze in de bekendheid in Groot-Brittannië, waarna ze uitgenodigd worden op vele grote dance-feesten. In 2005 komt hun tweede album uit, Generation. Dat album wordt een iets minder succes dan Ego War. Het bevat het nummer Shot You Down, wat een remake is van het gelijknamige nummer van Nancy Sinatra . - Audio Bullys to grupa grająca muzykę elektroniczną. W jej skład wchodzą Simon Franks i Tom Dinsdale. Największą popularność zyskali w roku 2005 dzięki przebojowi Shot You Down, w którym wykorzystano sample utworu Nancy Sinatra Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). Utwór dotarł do 3. miejsca UK Singles Chart oraz do Top 20 w Australii. Znalazł się również na 18. miejscu austriackiej listy najpopularniejszych piosenek. Oprócz tego sławę zyskał m.in. w Grecji, Japonii, Niemczech czy Polsce. Singiel pojawił się także na wyświetlanym przez telewizję CBS Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Grupa współpracowała z Suggs of Madness. Efektem jest utwór This Road z albumu Generation. Audio Bullys wydali 3 płyty i kilkanaście singli z czego największy sukces odniósł wspomniany Shot You Down. Remiksowali także wiele utworów w tym Out Of Space The Prodigy czy The Sound Of Violence Cassius. (pl)
