Arnold Johannes Hyacinthus Mühren is a Dutch football manager and former midfielder. His older brother Gerrie, also a midfield player, won three European Cup titles with Ajax in the early 1970s. Mühren is among the few players to have won all three major UEFA recognised club competitions, the European Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup. The last of which was won with Ipswich Town, while the other titles were all won while playing for Ajax.

Hij startte zijn carrière bij FC Volendam en werd - in navolging van zijn broer Gerrie - in 1971 door AFC Ajax gekocht. In drie seizoenen Ajax werd hij nooit een basisspeler en in 1974 werd hij geruild met FC Twente-speler René Notten. In Enschede werd Arnold wel een vaste waarde. Hij won met die club in 1977 de KNVB-beker, werd opgeroepen voor het Nederlands elftal en verdiende in 1978 een transfer naar Engeland, waar hij voor Ipswich Town ging spelen. Hij won de UEFA-cup in 1981. In 1982 werd hij verkocht aan Manchester United, waar hij in 1983 en 1985 de FA Cup won. In 1985 werd hij door Johan Cruijff teruggehaald naar Ajax om voor wat routine te zorgen in het jeugdige Ajax-team. In 1987 won hij de Europa Cup II. Arnold speelde 23 interlands, waarin hij 3 keer scoorde. In 1988 werd hij, 37 inmiddels, Europees kampioen met Oranje. Han spelade i Ajax och Twente innan han 1978 värvades av engelska Ipswich Town.
