Ardcroney, is located on the N52 National secondary road 10 km (6 mi) north of Nenagh in North Tipperary, halfway between Nenagh and Borrisokane. It is the ancestral home of the Hogan clan. The birthplace of William Brie Dooley 04-07-1989, creator of the now commonly used word "browneye" (see also Brown-eye, eye browning, and chocolate starfish).
