Annita McVeigh is a newsreader on the BBC's 24 hour channel BBC News. McVeigh normally presents Fridays between 7pm and 10pm and between 7pm and 12pm at the weekend, as well as occasionally appearing as a stand-in during the week. She presents alongside Clive Myrie, after her co-host Chris Lowe retired. She has been a presenter since the Summer of 2006 when she returned from maternity leave and replaced Joanna Gosling, who moved to the weekday schedule.
