Andrott Island is a small inhabited island in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, a group of 36 coral islands scattered in the Arabian Sea off the western coast of India approximately 198 kilometers from Kozhikode and 293 km from Kochi. It is the nearest to the mainland from all the islands in the group and it is also the longest. The island has an area of 4.84 km and is the only island of the group to have a west-east orientation. This is the biggest (area-wise) island of Lakshwadeep.
