Andreas Peter Cornelius Sol, M.S.C. is a Dutch prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. As of 2009, at the age of 93, he is one of the oldest Catholic bishops. Sol was born in Sloten (North Holland), Netherlands and ordained a bishop on August 10, 1940 from the Roman Catholic religious order Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Andreas was appointed to the Amboina Diocese in Indonesia on December 10, 1963, and succeeded then-bishop Jacques Grent as Bishop of the diocese on January 15, 1965.
