Amusing the Amazing was an EP released by Slo Burn in 1996. It only contained four songs, and sounded very much in the vein of Kyuss, of stoner rock fame, partially due to having been co-produced by Chris Goss, who also produced much of the music of Kyuss, and partially due to the presence again of John Garcia, formerly of Kyuss, on vocals.

Cuentan en la producción con Chris Goss, viejo conocido de García, que ya había trabajado con Kyuss. Lo que García sabía era que tanto el sonido como los miembros de su nuevo proyecto sería inevitablemente comparado con su anterior grupo. Siendo quizás el más perjudicado Chris Hale a la guitarra, en lugar del afamado Josh Homme, aunque hace un buen trabajo en el disco. En cuanto al sonido presente en el EP sigue la línea marcada por Kyuss, siendo una prolongación de los mismos, como buena muestra de ello es la canción "Pilot the Dune". Ese sonido que ha sido etiquetado como stoner rock con guitarras desérticas, sonido denso, riffs feroces, y esa inconfundible voz de unos de los principales exponentes del mencionado estilo. Todas las canciones fueron escritas entre el grupo y Chris Goss.

L'album non si discosta di molto dal suono dei Kyuss, forse anche per la produzione di Chris Goss (che aveva prodotto tre degli album dei Kyuss). Dell'album esistono due versioni: la prima che è anche la più diffusa contiene le prime quattro tracce (The Prizefighter, Muezli, Pilot the Dune e July), mentre la seconda versione contiene anche i restanti 5 pezzi.
