Amiya Taga is an Israeli footballer of Ethiopian descent, currently plying his trade at Maccabi Netanya. Amiya Taga was born in the Beta Israel community in Ethiopia and his family emigrated to Israel in 1991 during the Operation Solomon. Taga grew up through the ranks at Netanya, he played throughout the youth system and currently turns out for the first team as well as the Israel national under-21 football team. He made his first team debut for them in 2006.
