The AAAAI is devoted to the advancement of the knowledge and practice of allergy, asthma and immunology for optimal patient care. Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1943, AAAAI has nearly 6,500 members in the US, Canada, and 60 other countries. They deal with allergy issues related to drugs, food, animals, latex, pollen, and insect stings. Most members of the AAAAI are board-certified allergist/immunologists. A select group of the membership are elected as Fellows and carry the title FAAAAI.
