She received a Diploma in Herbal Medicine from the College of Phytotherapy in England and was elected a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists(MNIMH) in 1986. She returned to the United States where she is in private practice in Ojai, California and travels to teach at schools and herbal conferences. She integrates her knowledge and clinical experience of primarily western herbs and nutrition with stress management, and an awareness of spiritual well-being. Amanda McQuade Crawford is a well known international public speaker and author. She wrote The Herbal Menopause Book and Herbal Remedies for Women. She is the Associate Director, for the United States of the International College of Herbal Medicine. She has more than 20 years experience in clinical herbal medicine, is a founding member of the American Herbalists Guild and the founder of the National College of Phytotherapy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She serves on numerous professional advisory boards and scientific review panels including The American Herbal Pharmacopeia. She also hosts her own television show on the Veria network called "What a Relief!", which addresses herbal treatments for problems. ]
