Amédée Raymond Melanson was a physician and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Yarmouth County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1920 to 1925 as a Liberal member. He was born in Carberrie, Digby County, Nova Scotia, the son of Raymond Melanson and Marie LeBlanc. Melanson was educated at St. Anne's College and Dalhousie University. He set up practice in Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau. In 1910, he married Marie Julie Hamelin.
