Alphons Czibulka, or Czibulka Alfonz was a Hungarian composer, pianist, and conductor. His Wintermärchen is the drooping, sentimental violin piece that has been frequently used to indicate mock tragedy in film and cartoon soundtracks. It is better known in the form of "Hearts and Flowers" an adaptation and arrangement by Theodore Moses-Tobani. The Czibulkagasse in Simmering, Vienna, was named after him in 1938.
