Recently Rabbi Ehrman read a comical Dr. Seuss book to 18 and 19 year old students in an effort to make a more serious point about the need for dillegence in bible study. He often talks about his own roots growing up in Manhattan, in New York City, and the comedic happenings of his youth. He also acknowledges that he was not particularly interested in his studies as a youth. Rabbi Ehrman is a master at Kiruv - the art of bringing Jews closer to religious observance. He also is involved in many charity works. He is also recognized as being extremely humble by his peers and students. Rabbi Ehrman was born in the early 1970s in Mt. Sinai Hospital to Mr. Jules and Agnes Ehrman in New York City in the United States. Rabbi Ehrman is one of four children. He was married in his early twenties. He resides in Jerusalem with his wife, rebbetzin Nechi Ehrman, and four children named Gila Shoshana, Avraham Mordechai, Shmuel Alexander, and Simcha.
