- Alive Naturalsound Records, started in 1994 in Los Angeles by French expatriate Patrick Boissel, is an independent record label specializing in garage rock, punk blues, psychedelic rock and blues-rock music. It grew from Boissel's association with U.S. label Bomp! Records. The Alive-Naturalsound catalogue includes the Akron duo The Black Keys (Alive released their debutThe Big Come Up), Two Gallants, Black Diamond Heavies, SSM, Trainwreck Riders, Buffalo Killers, Radio Moscow, Thomas Function, Hacienda (artist), Brimstone Howl, Left Lane Cruiser, Ron Franklin (artist), the Soledad Brothers, Turpentine Brothers, The Howling Diablos, The Bloody Hollies, Detroit Soul R&B legend Nathaniel Mayer, as well as reissues by The Nerves, The Breakaways with Peter Case and Paul Collins (musician), Mick Farren of the The Deviants, Nikki Sudden and the Swell Maps. The most recent additions to the catalogue are Outrageous Cherry, Henry's Funeral Shoe, Brian Olive, T-Model Ford, and Mondo Drag .
