Alfred Petrone (born January 6, 1925) is a noted and recognized lawyer. He was born in Port Arthur, Ontario (now part of Thunder Bay). He is the son of Luisa Sisco and Luigi Petrone, and brother to the recognized Dr. Penny Petrone. He attended St. Joseph's School and the Port Arthur Technical (Hillcrest High) School. At the age of 17 he volunteered and served with the Canadian Navy overseas. In 1949 he graduated from Assumption College in Windsor with a B.A.

He was Director of The Advocates Society as director of the Criminal lawyers Association of Ontario and President of the Thunder Bay Law Association. He was certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in Civil and Criminal Litigation. He was selected by the Advocates' Society to be a Coach in its Basic Advocacy Training Program. He was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1962. Recognized as one of the top fifty lawyers in Ontario by the Advocates Society, 1950-2000.
