Alfred Petrone (born January 6, 1925) is a noted and recognized lawyer. He was born in Port Arthur, Ontario (now part of Thunder Bay). He is the son of Luisa Sisco and Luigi Petrone, and brother to the recognized Dr. Penny Petrone. He attended St. Joseph's School and the Port Arthur Technical (Hillcrest High) School. At the age of 17 he volunteered and served with the Canadian Navy overseas. In 1949 he graduated from Assumption College in Windsor with a B.A.

He was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1962. Recognized as one of the top fifty lawyers in Ontario by the Advocates Society, 1950-2000.
