Alexandru Ioan Morţun is a Romanian physician, politician, and Member of the European Parliament. He is a member of the National Liberal Party (PNL), part of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and became an MEP on January 1, 2007, with the accession of Romania to the European Union. Between 1996 and 2000, and again from 2000, he has represented Mehedinţi County in the Romanian Senate.
