At the age of 12 he was accepted into the Yehudi Menuhin School in England, where he studied violin and composition with Yehudi Menuhin, Mauricio Fuks, Felix Andreyevsky, Richard Hyung-ki Joo, and Igor Ozim. From 1989 to 1998 he studied violin with Boris Kuschnir at the Vienna Conservatory. By the age of 18, Igudesman was offering master classes for violin at the Jornadas De La Music in Madrid. He was also giving master classes in Pavel Vernikov’s festival in Portogruaro, in the Eilath festival in Israel and he held workshops for violin pedagogues at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin. As well as the Royal College Of Music in Stockholm. Igudesman performs as a duo with Richard Hyung-ki Joo as Igudesman & Joo, as a soloist, conductor and chamber musician. He is also a member of the string trio Triology. Igudesman has had several titles published by Universal Edition, has featured in roles for film and TV Aleksey Igudesman plays a Santo Serafin 1717 violin loaned to him by Erste Bank.
