Aleksei Zerchaninov (1848-1933) was an Russian of Orthodox religion who converted to Byzantine Catholicism. Being a son of a Russian Orthodox priest, Zerchaninov converted himself in 1896 which led to his imprisonment in a monastery, from which he was liberated in 1901. After the Russian Catholic Church's legalization in 1905, Zerchaninov became, along with Ivan Deubner and Eustachios Susalev, a priest of his native church united with Rome celebrating Mass in Saint Petersburg.
