Sir Albert John Gould (12 February 1847 – 27 July 1936) was an Australian politician. Born in Sydney, he was educated at Wooll's School in Parramatta and then at the University of Sydney. He became a solicitor in 1870, and was also a businessman, investor and citizen soldier. In 1882 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the member for Patrick's Plains, transferring to Singleton in 1894. He served as Minister for Justice from 1889-1891 and 1894-1898.

He became a solicitor in 1870, and was also a businessman, investor and citizen soldier. In 1882 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the member for Patrick's Plains, transferring to Singleton in 1894. He served as Minister for Justice from 1889-1891 and 1894-1898. In 1898 he left the Assembly, but in 1899 was elected to the Legislative Council. In 1901 he was elected to the federal Senate for New South Wales in the first federal election as a member of the Free Trade Party. On 20 June 1907, he was elected President of the Senate, holding that position until 30 June 1910. Having joined the Commonwealth Liberal Party on its formation in 1909, Gould was not endorsed to stand in the 1917 election as a member of the Liberal Party's successor, the Nationalist Party, leading to his retirement. He became a company director, and died in 1936.
