Alan North was an American actor. North was born in the Bronx, New York and joined the United States Navy during the Second World War. After the war, he became a stage manager and made his Broadway debut in 1955 in Plain and Fancy. He is best known for his roles in Highlander (1986), The Fourth Protocol (1987), Lean on Me (1989), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), and the 1982 television series Police Squad!. He also had small roles in films like Glory and The Long Kiss Goodnight.
