He owned a shop at Kensington Market in the late 60's and early 70's selling hand made boots, where he employed Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, later of the rock band Queen. He currently lives in London and recently was the driving force in reforming 'The Only Ones' who performed to a sell out show at Shepherds Bush Empire show. This was followed by shows at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, and the first ever Connect Festival in Inverary, Scotland. They are now in 2008 extending their touring to take in Holland, Japan, Hultsfred Festival in Sweden. More dates are continually being added.
