Alan Arnell was an English footballer. Arnell was born in Chichester and started out as an amateur player for Worthing before joining Liverpool in 1953, making his debut at centre forward in a 5-2 win against Blackpool in December 1953. Despite Liverpool being relegated to the second division at the end of that season, he was offered a professional contract after spending most of the campaign in the reserves.
