After divorcing his wife, Elkann remarried with Rosy Greco. Since 2004 he is the president of the Egyptian Museum of Turin. From 2007 Elkann is the president of Fondazione CittàItalia. On May 16 2008 he was appointed Adviser for Cultural Events and Foreign Relations to the Italian Minister Sandro Bondi.
