Since the mid-1980s, he has been primarily active as an inker, mainly on the Marvel Comics superhero titles on such characters as Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Spider-Girl, having won nine industry awards between 1988 and 1997. Williamson lives in Pennsylvania with his wife, Cori. He has three children, James, Victor, and Valerie, from two marriages. His first marriage, to Arlene Williamson, a professional letterer and colorist, ended with the latter's untimely passing.
